Celebrating 30 Years of NYFA with a Photo Exhibition & Screening!
New York Film Academy (NYFA) is celebrating its 30th Year Anniversary!
As part of the festivities on Wednesday, November 8th, students, alumni, faculty and staff attended a special photo exhibition and a screening of the web-series Apartment 30.
The photo exhibition featured the works of alumni throughout the years at NYFA. Alumni were exited to showcase their work, reminiscing of their times at the school.
Current students also attended the event, and had the chance to explore their work, learn about the inspiration behind the projects, and ask any questions they had about their execution.
The Apartment 30 web series is the joint effort of talented Acting, Cinematography, Filmmaking, Photography, Producing and Screenwriting alumni, who gathered over the last summer to bring the project to life. What a better way to honor NYFA than by practicing the art of filmmaking!
It is a six-episode anthology web series centered around an Airbnb with an enchanted guest book that grants wishes to those who sign it - whether those wishes be for good or ill. Each episode takes on a different genre and was put together by teams of alumni on cast and crew, with some current students helping on crew - but they are all connected by Apartment 30's magical, wish-fulfilling guest book.
Everyone had a wonderful time, celebrating art and creativity the two forces that bind us all at NYFA. It was a fun night of exchanging memories and experiences from the school.
NYFA congratulates all the talented alumni and students who participated in the making of the project Apartment 30, and the photography alumni who exhibited their wonderful work!
A big thank you to all who attended and the departments that were involved in making this event possible.
As we move froward with celebrating NYFA's 30th Anniversary, we wish to inspire our community to continue on the NYFA legacy by the magic of storytelling.
