The website available at network.nyfa.edu is a site hosting the social and professional network created and managed by New York Film Academy in order to allow graduates and students to keep in touch, to enhance training and promote employment and careers of alumni.


The use of this website network.nyfa.edu implies acceptance of the present Terms of Use.

The user of the site acknowledges having the skills and resources necessary to access this website and that the used computer configuration contains no virus and is in perfect working condition.

The user must be a graduate, a student, member of the staff or instructor of the New York Film Academy and to have valid email address and date of birth in order to activate his/her account and to use the website.

Recruiters may create an account (pending admin approval), access the website, read articles and announcements sections available to them, and are only allowed to visit the profiles and check resumes of the members who choose to do so on their personal settings.


Anonymous visitors might access the website, read articles and announcements that are public, but they are not allowed to visit the profiles, post comments or participate in discussions.

The user undertakes to register and to use a username or email address that doesn’t infringe the rights of third parties (family name, brand, etc.), nor to use any name, company name or trademark without express authorization of the owner.

The texts, software, pictures, videos, databases and other developments on this website are protected by applicable intellectual property and other laws. The user agrees not to reproduce in any form or by any means the above listed contents and/or any information or materials under protection of intellectual property and other laws without the express permission of New York Film Academy and/or the original property holder of such information and materials.

The user guarantees New York Film Academy that the testimony, comments, pictures and data of any kind disclosed by the user on this website are free from third parties’ rights.

The user expressly consents that his/her testimonies and comments may be reproduced and/or represented for free in the supports of communication aiming at promotion of New York Film Academy. The user accepts that the above mentioned rights are granted during the legal term of protection of these comments and testimonials.

The messages and pictures are posted at the sole responsibility of the author, who is liable for and bears all consequences related thereto. When possible, the testimony and comments should be written in English in order to facilitate their understanding by all members of the community. If necessary, the moderator reserves the right to translate the concerned text (in case a member or visitor has not translated the text before that).

To facilitate the use of the website and the reading of testimonials, the user should choose a clear title for his/her testimony. The user should also think to mention the geographic location in the subject, when useful. These details, anecdotes or emotions that you could convey, add value to your network.

For the respect and the good of everyone are deemed as prohibited: abusive, offensive, obscene messages, or defamatory content violating the rights of third parties, abusive language or language encouraging racism, pornography, pedophilia or crimes, the use of the website for purposes of propaganda, commercial prospecting or politics.

NYFA licenses the Website from AlumnForce – Alumni Network web solution.  AlumnForce is a provider of community software for educational institutions and alumni associates, managing social and professional networks for students and graduates.  Contact information for AlumnForce is set forth below.

The Website collects and maintains information about you based on NYFA’s interest in continuing NYFA’s relationship with you, including promoting NYFA’s interests and achievements to you, and inviting you to support NYFA and participate in NYFA programs and events. The Website uses information about you to tailor our messages and invitations to your interests; to analyze and improve our alumni and relationship efforts; and to conduct general demographic and statistical research. Photo, Blog and other Personal Content Policy.

NYFA retains the right to remove or reject any content that it deems obscene or objectionable, or has been reported as such by other members. In addition, AlumnForce, as licensors of the Website, can at any time deem content to be objectionable and can remove it from the Website. NYFA does not endorse any content that is posted on the site. Members will not post copyrighted content without permission from the owner. Members understand content whether it be text, graphic or audio visual, is the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated. NYFA is no way responsible for accuracy, integrity or quality of such content.

Public Forums.

The Website makes chat rooms and message boards available for every community group featured on the site. Your first and last name will be displayed during chat sessions or when you post something in the message boards. Any additional information you choose to submit in these areas is considered public. To protect yourself from unwanted spam or other unsolicited or unwanted communication, you are advised against providing personally identifiable information, including email addresses, postal addresses and phone numbers. NYFA does not monitor the chat rooms unless we receive a request to do so by a member.
